Hostex 4.24.0 Release: Enhanced Automation & Operation

We are excited to announce the latest updates to Hostex. This release focuses on smarter inventory management, enhanced hardware integration, and more granular control over your daily operations.

• Automatic Closure for Non-Consecutive Inventory: The system now prevents overselling when a multi-day booking cannot be placed in a single room. If availability is fragmented across different units, Hostex will automatically close those dates to protect your operations.

• Stay Extension Notes: You can now add notes while extending a stay. These will be automatically appended to the original booking notes for seamless tracking.

• Booking Rule Visibility: You can now customize the display of booking rule icons directly on your multi-calendar for a quicker overview.

• Multi-Lock Support: You can now assign multiple smart locks to a single room. Accordingly, your Digital Guest Guide will automatically display access information for all connected locks.

• Custom Code Expiry Logic: We added a new security option for smart lock codes. If enabled, the system will automatically delete the guest's code as soon as they check out, even if the original expiry time has not been reached.

• Enhanced Reservation Box: We added powerful search and filter functions to the Order Box. You can now locate specific bookings in seconds.

• Bulk Deletion for Amortized Transactions: When deleting an income or expense item that has been split across multiple months (amortized), the system now prompts you to delete all related entries at once. This ensures your long-term accounting remains accurate with a single click.

• Deposit Adjustments: Any changes made to security deposit amounts can now be applied to all existing reservations where the deposit has not yet been collected.

• Task Flexibility: You can now modify the "Task Type" even after a task has been created.

• Filtered Guest Lists: You can now filter your guest database by booking channel. This allows you to target marketing efforts or review guest history based on specific platforms.

• Improved Inbox Transparency: The inbox now displays the specific username (e.g., sub-account name) of the person who sent a message. (This internal detail remains invisible to the guest.)

• Sub-account Security: Sub-accounts no longer have default permission to edit automation rules created by the master account. The master account must explicitly grant this "Edit" permission.

• Enhanced Data Copying: You can now copy various guest details directly from the Order Details page with one click.

• Real-Time Calendar Filters: We added more filtering options when viewing live room status on the calendar.

• Better Note Interaction: The reservation notes interface is now more intuitive and supports image uploads for visual documentation.

• Message Translation: Hostex now supports the translation of outgoing messages sent by the host.

• Refined Automation: We added more conditional logic options to automation message rules for even more precise guest communication.
